Alumnus Michael Calvey returned to the University of Oklahoma for a special campus lecture reflecting on his new book, Odyssey Moscow: One American’s Journey from Russia Optimist to Prisoner of the State. The event was hosted at Beaird Lounge and introduced by OU President Joseph Harroz, Jr.

In front of an audience of students, faculty, and alumni, Calvey shared insights from his decades-long business career in Russia and the personal story behind his arrest and imprisonment. The lecture was followed by a book signing and reception, offering attendees the chance to engage directly with Calvey’s journey and message.
